ClimateLaunchpad 2015
In 2015 the CleanLaunchpad competition was renamed to ClimateLaunchpad and became the largest clean-tech idea competition in the world. Following the success of 2014, more countries were invited to participate, raising the participation number to 28.
We ran ClimateLaunchpad for Cyprus and Greece separately, giving more opportunity for start-ups to qualify and participate. PwC came on-board as Strategic Partner and Hellenic Bank as a major sponsor. More than 75 applications were received and 20 teams were selected to participate. The selected teams in each country received a two-day boot camp training and 6 coaching sessions leading to the national finals.
Again, the top 3 teams from both countries were selected to compete in the European Finals which took place in Amsterdam. During the competition, a short documentary was created about the 6 start-ups and their journey to the EU Final, definitely worth watching!
